Located in Portland Oregon, Mah Jongg With Monet caters to both small private groups and larger club organizations. I conduct classes and drop in play through Parks & Rec, as well as private teaching and coaching sessions. I LOVE sharing the joy of this incredible and complex game.

Intro Mah Jongg

In my intro class, you will learn the tiles, the card, and how to play American Mah Jongg per the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules. My classes are fun, thorough, and designed to demystify this incredible game so you can become a proficient player.

The max class size is 12, so there is plenty of attention to each student and time for questions.

Classes can be taught in two 4-hour sessions or four 2-hour sessions.

Groups of 4-6 players            $500

Groups of 6-12 players           $900

With these group rates, the more the maj merrier!

Coaching Sessions

My coaching sessions are a great way to increase your confidence in your gameplay. These are hands-on gameplay sessions, so you must already know how to play American Mah Jongg. In my coaching sessions, you will have me as a sounding board for any and all game-related questions and suggestions. 

These sessions are great for increasing your speed through the Charleston, learning how to pivot, and any technical game play questions. 

The class max is 12, so there is plenty of one-on-one attention for each player.

These sessions are 4 hours long with a 15 minute break.

$200 for your entire group
